Safe@Weber Scholarships


Our Scholarships

The following Scholarships are sponsored by Safe@Weber and can be found in Scholarship Universe.

Altrusa Club International:

Altrusa International is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.

The Altrusa Club of Ogden donates annual funds to their scholarship for sophomore, junior or senior students. Recipients must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and preference is given to single-parent students based on academic performance and financial need. 

Elizabeth Marie Keseling Hart Memorial Scholarship:

This scholarship is in honor of Elizabeth Marie Keseling Hart, a former student of Weber College. In honor of her mother and recognition of 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ’s commitment to access, learning, and its community, Elizabeth Kaye Hart established this scholarship in 2013. In 2024-25, there were 2 recipients. 

Recipients have a 2.0 or higher GPA, are accepted into the Goddard School of Business & Economics, demonstrate financial need, and are single parents.

Jane Breen Holmes Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of Jane Breen Holmes, a former student of 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ. Alongside this scholarship, her family and husband Dan Holmes established the Jane Breen Holmes Memorial - a daffodil garden outside of the Safe@Weber office.

Recipients have a 3.0 or higher GPA, have clear academic & career goals, and are single parents. In 2024-25, there were 5 recipients. 

Joe Ann Charest Legacy Scholarship:

This scholarship is in honor of Joe Ann Charest, a generous supporter of 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ. Ms. Charest passed in 2004 and gifted a legacy scholarship for Safe@Weber (formerly Women’s Center) students.

Recipients have a 2.5 or higher GPA and unmet financial need.

Oh Yes I Can! Scholarship:

This scholarship is funded by Meikjen and Alexander Larson. Meikjen graduated from 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ in 2012 and has since grown a small family business in the construction industry into the number one provider of their services in the state. As a leader in her industry, Meikjen understands the importance of women leading in all fields. Meikjen’s vision is that a scholarship fund will help achieve gender equity and balance throughout all industries in the state.

Recipients have a 2.0 or higher GPA and exhibit financial need. 

Women in Business/Sue Westenshow Scholarship

This scholarship is supported by the Women in Business committee of the Weber Chamber of Commerce.

The scholarship recipient must be a junior or senior with financial need and a 3.0 GPA or higher who is a Utah resident, a US citizen, and a registered participant of Safe@Weber. May be attending full or part-time. An essay on community service experience(s) is required.

Safe@Weber Center Scholarship

The scholarship recipient must be able to demonstrate involvement with Safe@Weber and have a 2.5 GPA or higher. May be attending full or part-time. Preference may be given to students with unmet financial need.
