Bonneville Chamber Music Festival Presents: Strings Elevated: Fry Street Quartet, Bayless & Uzur in Ogden!

Strings Elevated brings together the celebrated Fry Street Quartet, Brant Bayless and cellist Viktor Uzur for an extraordinary evening of chamber music. Bonneville Chamber Music Festival in Partnership with Browning Presents!: Indigenous Indígena – Celebrating the Legend & Legacy of R. Carlos Nakai

A rare musical encounter featuring the legendary R. Carlos Nakai and members of the ARTolerance Ensemble: Udi Bar-David, Shinjoo Cho, and Joseph Tayoun. Blending traditions from Indigenous America, Tango, Arabic rhythms, and Hora, this performance celebrates unity through sound and honors the timeless voice of Native American culture.


Guest Juror Lecture: Jill Downen

Hurst Artist-in-Residence: Aimee Nezhukumatathil Public Reading

Join us for a reading and Q&A with Aimee Nezhukumatathil, author of Bite By Bite: Nourishments and Jamborees and the New York Times best-selling World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks & Other Astonishments. She’ll share selections from her essays and poetry and open the floor for questions and conversation.



Annual Translation Week

Mystic Pizza

Based on the beloved 1988 film, Mystic Pizza: The Musical brings the charm of a coastal New England town to the stage with unforgettable 80s hits and heartfelt storytelling. Follow three young women navigating love, ambition, and friendship as they serve up slices—and life lessons—at a local pizza joint. A fresh, feel-good musical about finding your place and holding onto what matters.



Brilliant Classical Masterworks

When: Oct. 3 | 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy the Great Masters of the First Viennese School, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. These composers sometimes encountered each other in Vienna, you can hear them this special evening, featuring Cello soloist Dr. Viktor Uzur.



Browning Presents! Ruha Benjamin

Ruha Benjamin is a sociologist and MacArthur “Genius” Fellow whose work explores the intersections of race, science, technology, and justice. In this thought-provoking lecture, Benjamin will examine how emerging technologies can either reinforce inequality or be harnessed for equity—and the role imagination plays in building a more just future.

Known for her engaging speaking style and powerful insights, Benjamin challenges audiences to rethink the relationship between innovation and justice, inviting us all to take part in shaping a world that works for everyone.



Fall Choirfest

Weber State Choirs present their opening concert with the Fall Choirfest! Songs are chosen from a variety of contrasting styles to give everyone something to enjoy. The choirs will also present a local high school choir as a special guest ensemble. Join the Weber State Choirs for an evening of exciting music!



Railroad Reading - Erica Reid and Phillip W Brown

When: Oct. 15 | 7 p.m.

Free and Open to the Public

Erica Reid is the author of Ghost Man on Second, winner of the 2024 Donald Justice Poetry Prize. Her work appears in Rattle, Cherry Tree, Colorado Review, and more. She is a 2024 Vermont Center for the Creative Arts Fellow and teaches in Western Colorado University’s MFA program.

Phillip W Brown is the author of Boy with Flowers in His Mouth, winner of the 2023 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Gold Line Press Poetry Chapbook contest. His poetry appears in Ninth Letter, The Common, Ruminate, and others. He is a poet, artist, and graphic designer at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ.



91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Jazz Ensemble: Welcome Dr. Saslow!

Gwen Kirby’s stories have appeared in One Story, Tin House, Guernica, Mississippi Review, Ninth Letter, Blackbird, SmokeLong Quarterly, and more. Her story “Shit Cassandra Saw . . .” was selected by guest editor Aimee Bender for Best Small Fictions 2018. We’re thrilled to welcome Gwen as one of our Visiting Authors—come hear her read and share insights into her work!



Alabama Story

Inspired by true events, Alabama Story is a powerful and timely play that explores censorship, civil rights, and the transformative power of literature. Set in 1959 Montgomery, it follows a no-nonsense librarian who refuses to remove a children’s book from the shelves—despite political pressure. A stirring story of resilience, unexpected friendships, and the fight for intellectual freedom.

Wind and Percussion Chamber Music Festival

Introducing THE FIELD | 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Dance—a name that reflects a shift toward openness, collaboration, and shared artistic space. THE FIELD is a place where student, faculty, and guest choreographers come together to grow ideas, challenge norms, and create work grounded in real experiences.
