Community And Connection

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s close proximity to downtown Ogden gives students studying art and design unique opportunities to create and display their art in professional spaces and to collaborate with a broader artistic community.

Matthew S. Browning Design Lab

Focused on urban arts design and planning, the Matthew S. Browning Design Lab will be an experimental and collaborative environment where students develop, research and create community engaged projects. Students will grow as artists, problem solvers and innovators as they gain experience with authentic real-world tasks and challenges.

Community Outreach

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Department of Visual Art & Design organizes activities and participates in programs to promote artistic expression and give back to the Ogden community.

Arts in the Parks

Arts in the Parks is a free program that offers opportunities for children to explore visual and performing arts through hands-on activities.

The program travels to several different Ogden City parks for one week at a time during the summer months. It is a collaborative effort between the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Social Sciences & Education, the Center for Community Engaged Learning, and the Ogden City School District Child Nutrition Summer Lunch Program.

The program began in 2010 and is made possible through generous funding from the Weber County RAMP program, the Alan and Jeanne Hall Endowment for Community Outreach, and private donations.
