Interdisciplinary Programs

The Associate of Science (AS) degree with a major in Biology and the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Environmental Science combine two or more academic disciplines into one program. They create a space for the synthesis of ideas and characteristics from many disciplines. At the same time, they address students' differences and develop important, transferable skills by thinking across the boundaries of departments. Select either degree, and you choose an open path to further your education in the sciences and/or start a career in STEM.

Biology (AS)

Biology students take the same classes as those earning bachelor’s degrees in botany, zoology and microbiology, making it easy to transition.
