MHA Program Details
The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program focuses on leadership and management skills in the healthcare industry. We designed the program to meet the needs of part-time and full-time healthcare professionals who wish to advance into leadership roles.
We have three delivery methods that provide flexible opportunities to advance your education. MHA students meet on campus, while the Executive Master of Health Administration (eMHA) format is entirely online. Our students learn from experienced professors and working healthcare executives to graduate with management, interpersonal, critical thinking, technical, and organizational skills in preparation for advanced roles in healthcare.

Program Accreditation
Along with Weber State’s regional accreditation, the MHA program is accredited by the (CAHME). CAHME accreditation is the benchmark for students and employers that ensures the integrity of graduate healthcare management education.
CAHME accredited the MHA program at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ in 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. This accreditation reflects the outstanding educational experience our program provides.

Program Competencies
The MHA program prepares students to succeed in leadership roles within healthcare organizations. To achieve this, our program’s curriculum is based on 12 competencies in personal development, professional development, and applied skills.
The program utilizes various teaching methods focused on the core competencies, including the case method, reflective learning, team activities, and simulation. All courses are evaluated each semester as a means of assessment. Some examples of program assessment are class participation, team and self-assessment, case feedback, and project review and feedback.

Data-driven Student Success
Housed in the prestigious Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions, we were the first standalone MHA program approved in Utah. Our program has had a solid foundation as an undergraduate health administration program since 1983. Carrying on the long-standing tradition of innovation and commitment to excellence, we meet healthcare leadership needs in Utah and nationally, and continue to set the standard for academic excellence.
Since its inception, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's MHA program has been geared toward working healthcare professionals, most of whom work full time. The addition of the eMHA format in 2015 provided even more flexibility for a learning environment that benefits all students.
Each year, we measure the effectiveness of our program by student achievement, including graduation and employment rates. Of MHA students (MHA and eMHA cohorts) who graduated in 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, 98% had healthcare jobs at graduation. The combined 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ MHA and eMHA cohort (students who entered the programs in 2021) had a 99% program completion rate.
